Those students who intend to apply for an MBA course via 2026 CUET PG should first have knowledge about the eligibility criteria defined by the National Testing Agency. CUET PG is taken for admission into postgraduate courses of central, state and other participating universities in India.
Although every university can have its own admission policy NTA has framed some overall eligibility criteria applicable to all applicants. The subsequent section explains these instructions in simple language concerning the age limit, educational qualifications, rules of reservation and facilities for people with disabilities so that students can check their eligibility before they fill their forms.
CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026 for MBA
1. Age Limit
The 2026 CUET PG exam for MBA aspirants is open to candidates of all age groups.
However some universities may have their own age related rules. Before applying candidates are advised to go through the age requirement on the university official website.
2. Educational Qualification
Completed a bachelor degree or its equal from a reputed university or
If they are in their last year and appearing for a bachelor degree or its equal in 2026.
Make sure you fulfil the specific course and subject requirements of the university where you are applying.
3. University-Specific Requirement
Each university will have its own eligibility criteria regarding qualification, subjects, reservation policy and preference.
It is the candidate's duty to go through and comply with the eligibility criteria for the university and program they are applying to.
Just appearing in the CUET PG or passing it does not guarantee admission unless all eligibility rules of the chosen university are satisfied.

Reservation Policy
1. Reservation for Categories
Indian nationals belonging to OBC NCL, General EWS, SC and ST categories will be given reservations as per the Government of India rules.
State-run universities will be subject to the state reservation policy.
Details of category-wise reservation will be provided by the respective universities or institutions not by NTA.
2. Provisions for Persons with Disabilities PwD/PwBD
As per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 the following provisions apply -
Persons with Benchmark Disability - Those with 40% or more disability are eligible for certain exam accommodations.
Facilities available - Use of a scribe, reader or lab assistant for candidates who have difficulty writing.
Candidates with less than 40% disability but having writing difficulties can also get a scribe or extra time after submitting a valid medical certificate.
Applicants may request a scribe from NTA or bring their own. If bringing their own scribe the scribe’s qualification should be one level below the candidates qualification.
Misuse of scribe facilities or false claims regarding disability may lead to cancellation of candidature or admission.
Candidates must upload a valid Disability Certificate in their 2025 CUET PG application form.

Important Notes
NTA will not make changes in the category or sub-category including PwD status after the application is submitted or the CUET PG score is declared.
The extent of disability will be determined as per official government guidelines.
The benefit of reservation will be granted only after proper verification of the documents. If any document is found to be false or misleading the candidate’s admission will be cancelled.
For institutes under state governments their state-specific reservation policy will apply.
