GMAT Exam Registration 2025: Dates, Fees & Easy Steps

The initial step is that the test-taker has to register and create a GMAT account, provide personal and academic information and schedule a test. Through registration, applicants can also report their scores to specific business schools, enroll in the GMASS search service and ask for accommodations if necessary.

GMAT Registration 2025: How to Apply?

The GMAT is a computer-based entrance test and the whole process of registration is also computer-based. To start with you must first build a GMAT profile. Here are the simple steps:

Step 1: Visit the official GMAT website MBA.com and establish your exam profile.

Step 2: Create your login credentials (username and password) to register for the exam.

Step 3: At registration time, you will be prompted to receive notifications regarding scholarships, business school admissions and offers from GMAC. This is voluntary.

Step 4: You can also opt to provide your information to business schools via GMASS which would enable them to contact you.

Step 5: Once logged in, you will have to enter your personal information such as name, email, address, phone number and desired language.

Step 6: You'll then be prompted to enter details about your background including date of birth, gender, mother tongue, work experience, undergraduate course and career objectives. Colleges affiliated with GMASS can use this to contact you.

Step 7: After completing all these steps your GMAT profile will be created successfully and you'll be able to proceed with the booking of the exam.

GMAT 2025 Exam Fees, Services & Payment Details

• This is the minimum exam fee and is necessary to reserve your slot.

• Other services like an additional score report will be $35 per report. (This is the same whether your test is online or at a centre)

• You can send your GMAT score to more than 5 schools; this charge is made for each extra one.

Important Payment Rules

• If your card is declined, your test booking will be automatically cancelled.

• If you use a stolen or fake card, your registration and scores may be cancelled and the schools and authorities may be notified.

• If you dispute the payment without a valid reason (called a chargeback), your exam and scores may be cancelled and you may be blocked from future GMAT exams.

GMAT 2025 ID Requirements for Test Day (Test Centre & Online)

For GMAT at the Test Centres

On the day of the GMAT test at a test centre, all candidates will need to present a valid international passport. In case of absence of the passport, the expiry of the passport, or incorrectness of the passport the test will be cancelled and the candidate will forfeit the entire exam fee. No exemptions are permitted.

For Online GMAT Tests

If the test is taken online candidates are required to present one government-issued ID as part of the check-in procedure. If the ID is not compliant with all the necessary requirements they will lose the exam fee and will have to pay again to take the test.

Major Update (Effective June 11, 2025):

Aadhaar cards are not accepted as a valid ID in online GMAT tests anymore. If the test date is post-June 11, 2025 candidates have to produce some other valid ID. Otherwise, it will result in cancellation of the test as well as loss of the fee.

Acceptable ID: What's Required?

The most accepted ID is the international passport. It should satisfy the following requirements:

• Not expired as it should be up-to-date and valid.

• Name should be exactly as used while registering on mba.com (including spelling and order).

• Date of birth should be exactly as given in registration details.

• A clear and recent photograph that is easily identifiable.

• Signature on the ID.

Note: If the ID or passport lacks one of these details, the candidate might be required to produce a second acceptable ID that covers the omitted information based on local regulation.

IDs That Are Not Accepted

The following types of identification are not acceptable for either the online or test centre exams:

• Passports or IDs that have expired.

• Cards of passport.

• Social cards for security.

• Classification cards in draft form.

• Credit/debit cards.

• Employee or student ID cards.

• School/college letters.

• IDs with a physical description rather than a photo.

• Photocopies of any ID.

• Selfies, portraits or profile shots.

• Any ID that does not comply with the rules above.

GMAT Exam 2025 Testing Accommodation 

In order to increase the accessibility of the GMAT test, there are special arrangements (referred to as accommodations) for candidates with disabilities. These are offered if the individual is eligible and provides the proper documents.

How to Request Accommodations?

The following are the steps for requesting assistance on the GMAT:

1. Read the GMAT test-taker guide for people with disabilities.

2. Create a profile on the official GMAT website.

3. Gather your medical records depending on your particular disability.

4. Click the "Apply for Accommodations" link (on the GMAT website).

5. Upon submission you should be sent a confirmation email. If not contact customer support.

What Types of Assistance Are There?

If your application is approved you could be provided with one or more of the following accommodations:

• Additional time to finish the test.

• Additional breaks during the exam.

• Allowance to bring medical equipment.

• Someone to read the questions and note down your responses.

• Larger print on the screen.

• Increased contrast on the screen.

• A sign language interpreter.

Scheduling a Special (Accommodated) Test Time

• If your request is granted you will be directed on how to schedule a special testing appointment with accommodations.

• Do not schedule a standard test appointment prior to when your request has been granted. You can't convert a standard appointment to an accommodated one down the line.

• You'll only be able to schedule the special test after you get the go-ahead.
