How Was the Placement Process Structured?
The placement season at IIMA involved two phases for the students -
Phase 1 - Lateral Placement Process (5 to 15 January 2026)
This phase of the placement process was designed for students with prior work experience. The companies interviewed these students for middle and senior management roles in industries such as technology, banking and financial services, consulting and analytics.
Phase 2 - Final Placement Process
In this phase of the placement process at IIMA the companies were grouped into cohorts based on their industries and business types. These cohorts were then invited to the campus in batches called clusters. The special feature of this placement season is that students who have already received offers can also apply to companies in later clusters. This is called "dream applications." More than 150 such applications were made this year to understand how student-friendly the process is.
