Recruiters have continued to highly value the Institute and its pool of talent as they have in previous years. Both the tasks and the compensation have greatly enhanced in the past few years.
Prof. Viswanath Pingali Placement Chairperson, IIMA, offered his comments, It is heartening to see recruiters having faith in IIMA graduates even during a tough business scenario for our MBA-PGP students. IIMA believes in recruiter-recruitee match and endeavors to put each student in front of a job profile as much like as possible to their aspirations. He should also note that IIMA believes in releasing placement figures only after they are audited comprehensively by a third party. He thanks the auditors, the placement office and above all the recruiters for permitting them to carry out this critical process on time.

Mean salary is ₹35.50 LPA.
In a tough year with slow recruiting among business schools, IIM Ahmedabad not only held its robust ground but also raised mean and median salaries, showing recruiters' continued confidence in the Institute's talent pool.
The placement report is third-party audited according to Indian Placement Reporting Standards for standardisation and transparency.
IIM Ahmedabad's placement statistics are on the basis of maximum earning potential and not cost to company. In contrast to CTC, where the non-cash elements like insurance charges, gratuities or spurious bonuses often tend to exaggerate the figure, MEP indicates the tangible monetary compensation that a student is entitled to in the first year. This technique provides a clear, student-focused representation of genuine earning potential.
Students were given complete freedom to reject or hold offers and continue to interview for other employers, regardless of previous offers received. This ensured that students had the opportunity to pursue the best potential match for their goals, which is important to IIMA's placement process.
