As per the institute placement report the top salary package reached ₹1.2 crore and was secured by a student from the Executive MBA (EMBA) 2024 - 2026 summer batch. Meanwhile the highest package offered in the flagship MBA program was ₹ 52.50 LPA.
Overall Participation and Placement Trends
According to IIM Ranchi, the highest domestic salary package increased by 4.19 per cent compared to last year's placements. The institute also recorded a 31.15 per cent rise in student intake along with higher PPO participation and improved average salaries among the top percentile of students.
During the placement season 96 recruiters took part in the hiring process including 53 first-time recruiters engaged by the Corporate Relations team. The institute also organised sessions featuring more than 70 industry leaders and professionals on campus.
MBA Placements - PPOs and Salary Data
IIM Ranchi reported that freshers made up 72.83 per cent of the MBA cohort while female students represented 42.93 per cent of the batch. Overall 60 companies participated in recruitment for the MBA program.
The top salary package offered to MBA students was ₹ 52.50 lakh per year with the average package reaching ₹ 19.24 lakh. Students in the top quartile of the batch achieved an average annual salary of ₹ 24.83 lakh.
The report further stated that 22.35 per cent of students secured PPOs and the average PPO package stood at ₹ 19.28 lakh. Additionally, average summer internship stipends rose by 23.12 per cent to ₹ 3.69 lakh.
HRM Placements for MBA Students
In the MBA HRM program at IIM Ranchi 40.54 per cent of students received PPOs. The average PPO package for the batch was recorded at ₹ 18.86 LPA.
The highest salary package offered in the MBA HRM program stood at ₹ 22.75 lakh annually. While the top 25 percent of students recorded an average compensation of ₹20.95 lakh, the overall average for the programme was ₹17.74 LPA.
MBA BA Placements
IIM Ranchi reported a 22.16 percent year on year rise in the highest salary package offered to students from the MBA in Business Analytics program. The highest package for the batch reached ₹ 32.13 LPA.
Students in the top quartile of the MBA BA program secured an average package of ₹27.81 lakh compared to an overall average salary of ₹20.99 LPA. The institute also stated that 13.16 per cent of students from the program obtained PPOs.
MBA BA graduates were hired across multiple sectors, including banking, consulting, IT and analytics, fintech and financial services.
Recruiters and Sectoral Involvement
IIM Ranchi stated that recruiters from diverse sectors took part in the placement drive, including IT and IT-enabled services, banking and financial services, consulting, logistics and supply chain as well as automotive and defence industries.
Major recruiters participating in the placement season included Amazon, SAP Labs, D. E. Shaw, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Tata Capital, Aditya Birla Group, National Payments Corporation of India, Deloitte, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki and Cognizant.
The institute has also begun the admission process for the EMBA 2026 - 2028 summer cohort. According to IIM Ranchi the program is designed for working professionals aiming to move into senior management and leadership positions.
