Hari S. Bhartia, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors, officially launched the event and praised the institution's role in developing future leaders. The institute's growth in research, worldwide partnerships and academic initiatives was highlighted in Director M. Chandrasekhar's annual report.
During his speech, Mr. Bhartia highlighted the immense opportunities in India's entrepreneurial landscape and the impact of emerging technologies such as AI, encouraging graduates to uphold integrity and focus on thoughtful decision-making in their future careers.
Zarin Daruwala, Group CEO of PL Capital, was the keynote guest and gave the new grads advice at the convocation speech. She urged the students to stay true to their moral principles, accept criticism and keep a solution-focused approach.
In addition to the inaugural batches of the Executive Post-Graduate Diploma and the Post-Graduate Program for Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, 342 MBA and 163 EMBA graduates received degrees across various programs during the ceremony. During the proceedings, a Ph.D. scholar was also acknowledged.
Samruddhi Mangrulkar placed second in the PGP program and won the Best All-Round Performance Award, while Aryaki Sanjay Pathak placed first and received the Vani Row Memorial Gold Medal.
Sushil Singh Chouhan and Jamini Ranjan Mahapatra topped their respective Post-Graduate Program in Management for the Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (PGPMCI) and Executive Post-Graduate Diploma Program in Management (EPGDPM) cohorts, while Mahabir Ghosh and Sonam Gupta secured top honours in the Executive MBA program.
