MAT May 2026 will be held across various exam cities through PBT and CBT modes. Interested candidates can apply for the exam by filling out the official MAT Application Form 2026 from the official AIMA website.
In the application form, applicants have to choose their hometown or a nearby city as their preferred exam centre for the MAT. After selection, the MAT examination centres for 2026 cannot be changed. For the May session, the applications are now open for both modes on the official AIMA website.

MAT Exam Centre Instructions for PBT Mode
Candidates will be given a closed question booklet and an OMR answer sheet. Do not open the booklet until you are asked to do so.
Write personal information and the Question Booklet series number in both the question booklet and answer sheet.
Sign the attendance sheet and check the Question Booklet series during the MAT entrance exam 2026.
Use only blue or black ink while marking answers on the answer sheet.
Once candidates mark their answer then no changes to them are allowed. The answer sheet should not be folded or damaged in any way.
The Question Booklet only requires some rough work.
Scores will be calculated based on the Answer Sheet for which accuracy is required while making answers.
Responses written in the Question Booklet will not be considered.
After the examination, return the Question Booklet and the Answer Sheet to the invigilator.
It is strictly prohibited to take any material outside the MAT paper based test examination room.

Instructions for the MAT CBT Exam Centre
Each candidate is allocated a computer to undertake the test at the MAT Computer-based test exam centre.
Basic computer knowledge is required.
If there is any problem with the computer report it immediately to the invigilator.
Details such as name, roll number, and registration number are typed into the computer.
There is no time limit for each section so candidates are free to navigate through different sections and modify their answers.
All questions are MCQs with four choices so select the appropriate choice.
If needed then rough sheets will be provided to the candidates.
Exam centres are under CCTV surveillance. Rule violations may lead to disqualification.
Items to Carry to MAT Test Centres 2026
Candidates appearing for MAT PBT & CBT 2026 must bring the following documents and items to the test centre-
Ball pen must be blue or black in colour
The hall ticket for MAT 2026 must be printed in hard copy format with two copies.
Government of India (GOI) photo identification document such as Voter ID, PAN card, Driving License, Aadhaar, Passport or any institutional ID recognised by the state Government.
One passport-sized photograph of the candidate. They are required to carry two photographs to the test centre.
PWD candidates will also have to carry the certificate issued to them in this regard.
