NMAT 2026 Additional Phase Registration
As per previous year’s pattern, GMAC offers an NMAT Additional Phase in January providing applicants another chance to write the test. For the NMAT 2026 session the additional phase will take place in January 2027 with a registration period of 5 to 7 days starting from December 2026 to January 2027.
Important Note - The cost of appearing in the additional phase is the same ₹3000+taxes. Yet it needs to be considered that some universities such as NMIMS University and other prominent B-schools shut down their MBA programmes admission applications in January 2027.
Common Mistakes to Avoid During NMAT 2026 Registration
Mismatch between Name and Date of Birth with ID Proof - This is the most common reason for candidate rejection during exam day. Your name and date of birth as mentioned on the NMAT application form 2026 should precisely match your ID proof such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID. Missing out even a single letter or number will get you disqualified from the exam with no refund of NMAT registration fees 2026 either. Your name and date of birth cannot be changed once registered.
Use of Invalid Photograph - The GMAC expects that you upload a recent colour photograph of yourself with a minimum file size of 1 MB and in a JPEG format.
Exam Mode Selection without Verification of Infrastructure - Once slot booking is done, the exam mode can no longer be changed. If you have chosen Online Proctored Mode then it’s imperative that you check your broadband speed, webcam, microphone facility, room privacy and backup power supply before booking this mode of examination. Before selecting this mode take a test from pages.talview.com/securebrowser
Final Day of Registration - Slots are provided on a first come first serve basis and due to high server traffic at the last day of registration, you might not get the preferred slots. Get your slots booked within the first two weeks of availability (From early August 2026).
B-Schools Selection Without Research - The five B-school score reports are not available unless you pay ₹400 + GST for each additional B-school selection. Register for shortlisting your preferred top 5 B-schools which accept NMAT scores.
Loss of the Confirmation Email and GMAC ID - A GMAC ID is provided by GMAC after registration and this ID is essential to submit the B-school applications especially for B-schools like NMIMS that ask for a GMAC ID during the application process.
