RISM is designed to offer a globally aligned industry-focused engineering program with strong emphasis on practical learning, resilience and research. The course will include international faculty, industry mentors on campus and a three-year capstone project starting from the second year to prepare students for future technology and business needs.

Dr M R Jayaram, Chairman and Trustee of Gokula Education Foundation, said at a press conference in Bangalore that RISM aims to become a unique institution offering a globally benchmarked education system.

He added that the goal is to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied across science, technology and management fields.

RISM will focus on STEM and management education with strong industry-linked learning. It will include hands-on capstone projects based on the idea that “learning by doing” helps students contribute to society.

Gurucharan Gollakeri, Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Director, said RISM will develop into a next-generation university focused on STEM and management education in partnership with the University at Albany and Ramaiah Group.
