CAT (Common Admission Test) Exam – Important Dates 2025

August 1, 2025 through September 13, 2025 will be the time frame for CAT 2025 registration. A correction window for the application will also provided at the end of September 2025. Downloading of the admit card for candidates will start from November 5, 2025 and the test will take place on November 30, 2025 in three sessions through different test centres. The results of CAT 2025 will be announced on december last week or early january following which the admission procedure in IIMs and other institutions began.

Candidates that pass the CAT cut-offs set by different IIMs will advance to the next level which typically consists of a Personal Interview (PI), Group Discussion (GD) and Written Ability Test (WAT). The final admission process shall be done by mid-2025. Prospective candidates must keep visiting the official CAT website (iimcat.ac.in) frequently for updates and notifications.

Dates of Registration for the CAT Exam 2025

Registration for CAT 2025 will open from August 1,2025 and run through September 13,2025 with a rectification opportunity at the end of September. The date for the examination is Sunday, November 30, 2025. The IIM Kozhikode is announced as the conducting institution for 2025 CAT exam. Applicants are advised to regularly visit the official website for information. 

CAT 2025 Admit Card Availability

Will be downloadable from the official site (iimcat.ac.in) until November 2025. Candidates will need their CAT ID and password to access the admit card. The candidates log in using the CAT ID assigned to them and the password to download it. The date for the exam is November 30, 2025. It is advisable to use the latest version of search engines like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox for hassle-free downloading. CAT Exam 2025 Answer Key Dates

It is anticipated that the CAT 2025 Answer Key will be made available on the official website in December 2025. The candidates will have an opportunity to raise objections during the objection period which will also open in December 2025. The final result of the CAT 2025 exam is expected to come out by the end of December 2025 or early January 2026.

Dates of Registration for CAT 2024

In charge of organising the CAT 2024 was IIM Calcutta. August 23, 2024, was the official release of the notification.  Candidates could apply till 5 PM on September 13, 2024. A correction window was also provided towards the end of September. The exam was organised on November 24 (Sunday), 2024.

CAT Exam 2024 Admit Card Dates

The CAT 2024 admit card was available for download from 5 November 2024, 4 PM onwards up to the day of the exam which was 24 November 2024. Admit cards were downloaded by candidates using their password and CAT ID on the website (iimcat.ac.in) 2024. CAT 2024 Key Dates of Answer Key 

On December 3, 2024, the CAT 2024 answer key was made public. Additionally, until December 5, 2024 candidates have the opportunity to voice their complaints.On December 19, 2024 the CAT 2024 exam's final results were announced.

CAT Exam 2023 Important Dates

CAT Exam Registration 2023 Dates 

The CAT 2023 examination was held by IIM Lucknow. The notification was officially made available on August 2, 2023 and the registration closed on September 21, 2023 at 11 AM. 

CAT Exam 2023 Admit Card Dates

The CAT 2023 admit card was available from November 7th, 2023 and the candidates could download it until November 26, 2023 which was the day of the exam. Login to their profile using the ID and password and save it as a pdf.

Dates of the CAT Exam 2023 Answer Keys

The objection window opened on December 5, 2023 the same day the CAT 2023 answer key was released. Candidates had the option to review the answer key and if needed object. On December 21, 2023 the CAT 2023 results were revealed.
