IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is a very crucial entrance test that aspirants need to pass in order to be enrolled in management courses. Since last year, IIM Indore has started providing guidelines and instructions for candidates, which have also been included in the admit card.
Here you will get all the essential IPMAT 2026 exam day instructions and some mistakes that you must not make while taking the test.

Documents Required for IPMAT Indore Exam 2026
Candidates must carry the following documents-
Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID / Passport / Driving License)
Passport-size Photograph (same as application form)
Important IPMAT Indore 2026 Examination Day Guidelines
Admit Card Guidelines- Candidates should report with the IPMAT admit card 2026 printout of two A4-sized pages. Photographs and signatures must be clear and consistent with the application form.
Proof of Identity- Candidates should show their original photo identity proof that appears on the admit card. In case of Aadhaar, candidates are expected to produce an original Aadhaar card in good condition.
Self-Attestation - The second page of the admit card, which contains a copy of the ID, needs to be attested as self-attested.
Dress Code - Candidates are advised not to wear jewelry or metal objects.
Things that Candidates Will Be Provided with- Papers and pens will be provided to candidates in the examination room, which need to be returned after the completion of the examination.

Instructions for IPMAT Examination 2026
Before taking the examination, students need to thoroughly go through the instructions provided in the question paper for the IPMAT 2026.
It is a computer-based test (CBT). So, candidates should be comfortable reading the questions on a computer screen.
One question will be shown on the screen at a time.
Every section comes with a time limit of 40 minutes.
Therefore, candidates need to manage their time properly.
After the time limit for a particular section expires, the system will automatically jump to the next section.
Similarly, the whole examination will get closed automatically after the completion of the total time limit.
Students should not spend much time on any individual question. If they do not know the answer, then moving ahead is better.
As the test has negative marking, candidates need to attempt only those questions of which they are sure.
For every incorrect response, one mark will be deducted from the score.
IPMAT Exam Day Instructions 2026 (Do’s & Don’ts)
Exam Do’s
Verify all the necessary documents before going to the exam center.
Have the IPMAT admit card (2 photocopies) and photo ID proof with you.
The admit card must be present because it is an essential requirement.
Take a printout of the application form as well.
Report to the exam center according to the reporting time printed on the admit card.
You can visit the exam center one day prior if you are unaware of the place.
Take only those things which are allowed, such as a ballpoint pen and a water bottle.
Exam Don’t
Do not bring electronic gadgets or study material into the examination room.
Do not cheat in order to score marks unfairly.
Do not bring any bags or belongings as storage might not be provided.
Do not come late to the examination room, as latecomers will not be admitted.
Do not communicate with other candidates while taking the examination.
Do not leave the examination room even if you have completed your paper.
