Symbiosis SET Counselling 2026 Procedure, Personal Interview & Admission Fees

The SET counselling process is the last stage for candidates to get admitted to the BBA courses offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). After the declaration of the SET 2026 results, the candidates whose names appear in the merit list according to the cut-off marks will be selected to appear for the Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) conducted by various Symbiosis institutes.

During the counselling process, the candidates have to register their names to appear for the PI-WAT round and select their preferred institute. Candidates have to upload their documents and appear for the test. Each institute will select the candidates based on their performance in academics, communication skills, logical ability, general knowledge and personality. The merit list will be prepared based on the composite score obtained by the candidates by adding their SET score and performance in the PI-WAT round.

SET Detailed Counselling Process 2026

The counselling process of Symbiosis University for SET 2026 typically comprises two major stages: WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview/Interaction). For SET 2026, the WAT will be conducted in an online mode after the respective entrance test. Counselling rounds include WAT and PI.

WAT (Written Ability Test)

During the WAT stage of the SET 2026 counselling process, candidates typically have to perform a PAT (Picture Association Test). They also have to write a short essay on a topic set by the panel.

The WAT stage of the counselling process for SET 2026 might also include subjective-type questions based on the topic set for the candidates. The Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication includes a Studio Test in addition to the PI and WAT stages.

PI (Personal Interaction / Personal Interview)

Admission Criteria for the SET Counselling Process 2026 in Symbiosis Institute

Finally, after the completion of the WAT, PI and (if applicable) Studio Test, the institutes prepare the final merit list based on the following weightage structure-

The candidates must bring the following documents for verification during the SET entrance exam 2026 counselling process. The following are the documents needed for the counselling-

• Printed copy of the completed online application form

• Hard copy of the SET 2026 scorecard

• Printout of the SET 2026 admit card

• Class 12 mark sheet

• Class 12 passing certificate

• Class 10 mark sheet

• Class 10 passing certificate

• Migration certificate (in case the candidate has completed his/her previous qualifying examinations from a university outside the state)

• Transfer certificate

• Gap certificate (in case there is a gap in study)

• Caste certificate (in case the candidate belongs to the SC/ST category)

SET Reservation Details 2026

The reservation details for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2026 include specific seats for eligible categories. The details are as follows-

SET Admission Fee 2026

The candidates who wish to confirm their allocated seats need to pay a provisional admission fee of Rs. 10,00,000. The admission fee should be paid through a Demand Draft in favour of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, as per the institute’s instructions.

After paying the admission fee, candidates need to collect their provisional admission confirmation letter from the Director’s office.
